To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Kia was adopted from us by a family who returned her because they reported she had 4-5 seizures since the time they adopted her (they had her for 5 weeks before they returned her) when Kia came back we had out vet see her and do tests, all looks normal. Instead of starting her on medication we decided to wait and see how she did. Since she has been back she hasn't had a single seizure episode. BUT potential interested families should know she could potentially be an epileptic, easily managable with medications but she is currently not on any.

Kia is a great family dog, does ok with other dogs, but is certainly a stronger perosnality. Basically she likes to be the "Queen B" and would love to boss around the younger pups who don't have any manners. She is fostered along with other dogs and likes to do her own thing, like playing 'keep away' with her toys from other canine friends or relaxing next to her foster and enjoying some peace and quiet.

She is active, but not hyper, and would enjoy a home with children or a home with adopters who are interested in walking her daily and enjoying lots of cuddles from her.
