To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Akane!

Akane was taken in by a veterinary clinic in Mexico to put up for adoption, but unfortunately no one was able to take this sweet girl. She came in with her brother Ranma, who she interacted with very well. Ranma was adopted along with a buddy of his and it is now Akane's turn to find her special forever home.

She is a very playful girl who likes to assert her independence. Many of our volunteers have had an opportunity to interact with her and she has won over our hearts with her playful and affectionate ways. She has been around many other ARWOB kitties and gets along well with all. She is in a foster home now and her foster mom says that Akane LOVES to be held and carried around the house and that she is a sweet, playful girl. She also has more of a "coo" than a meow.....it sounds like a dove's coo.
