Meet handsome Sammy!
Sammy is a young adult herding breed mix dog who was adopted by a family when he was only 3 months old. They no longer are able to care for him as he has become too attached to them and is too much of a protector. They are both working adults who dont have time for training and behavior classes to help him improve and not be so protective. If you are familiar with the Shep and the Collie you know these breeds need an experienced adopter who understands they are VERY smart dogs who love to have activites and 'homework' they like to be kept active and mentally stimulated or they can be bored easily. Sammy does enjoy going to doggy day care so he is def a dog park dog but he can be protective of his humans so we are looking for an adopter who will be able to work with him from day ONE as to eliminate that behavior formig with his new family.
