To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

WishBone is another member of our 'Operation Freedom' group of rescues. WishBone's former owner was another down on luck person who was taken to jail, leaving WishBone without anyone to care for him at the little shack he would call home. The conditions were not ideal as WishBone was chained, with no shelter (he was subject to sun and rain 24/7), and without anyone to feed or water him. Thankfully, someone learned of WishBone's squalor conditions and got him out in the nick of time! Upon his rescue, WishBone was not only lethargic, beaten up, and beyond skinny but he even had a broken tail. He was, however, very calm and friendly with all the staff members at the vet hospital where he was treated.

Update** Wishbone is getting accustomed to living the good life in a home! He's learned how comfortable lounging on the couch is! he is extremely docile and loving. Most days he is lounging in our lap or by our side...he walks well on the leash and is learning how to be a dog in a human world! He is very friendly and playful with his foster siblings and he is also good with cats! He is being crate trained as well. Wishbone will definitely make a sweet and loyal addition to any family!
