To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Kimura!

Kimura is a rescue from Baja, Ensenada, Mexico. She became an ARWOBer when her owner realized he no longer wanted her. This man kept her in the backyard all day and would chain her to a pole if he wanted to have his gate open. We believe he or someone he purchased her from cropped her ears and docked her tail.

Kimura is a big girl and had to spend 2 months boarding in a veterinary clinic for while waiting for a foster home. Despite this extended period of kenneling, Kimura is ok in a crate but prefers not to be inside one. She can sometimes exhibit food possesion, so if she is eating from her food bowl she will likely warn an approaching dog that it is hers.

Kimura is very good with people and children. She has been around dogs but has no exposure to cats so we don't think she wlll be ok with them. She does very well in the car and likes to jump in. She will need some work on the leash but is overall a sweet and gentle big girl.
