Diego had a very depressing upbringing... He was taken away from an abusive owner who was beating Diego with a leash to his rump. In addition to the horrible mistreatment, Diego was also malnourished and infested with ticks and other parasites. After his rescue, the hair on his rump began to tear off, and by the end of the day it burst revealing a chemical burn.... he had leftover yellow substance in his fur.
Despite his sad story, Diego has a gorgeous temperament. He has been described as obedient, loving, intelligent, and eager to learn. He is crate trained and loves car rides and walks on a leash. He gets along very well with dogs and people.
