To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Figgs!

Figgs is a young adult small breed low rider boy who has calm energy but is playful and just so loving. He enjoys life and enjoys being loved and is great around dogs.

He has had a rough life in the streets of Mexico, but has been safe with some great rescuers who. although have TOO many rescues. they couldn't ignore his plea of help and have been caring for him for a few months. They don't regret for a minute that they opened their home to him. He is now in a foster home in SD along with his BIG foster brother, a sweet and handsome shepherd who just LOVES Figgs (because he is very hard to NOT like!) He has not been tested around cats but we believe he will be great.

His foster mom just sent this great up to date information about him:
Figgs is a smiley, happy, energetic dog who loves the attention of his humans, including children. His favorite activities are cuddling and fetching tennis balls. Figgs loves to play with other dogs, big and small, and is an enthusiastic fan of the dog park where he is always very social. He's a smart little guy who has learned some basic commands such as sit, stay and drop it. Figgs is not a barker or a whiner, does not chew on anything except his toys, and has never had an accident in the house. He appreciates stimulation, so an active home would be the perfect fit for him.
