Hi, My name is Harley and this is my story.
In January of 2012 I was found outside of a local pharmacy in a small town in Mexico. To be more precise Tecolotlan, Jalisco, Mexico. One of the ARWOB volunteers family members picked me up as I was just a young pup emanciated and with a potential fracture on one of my back legs. I was still walking as I was begging for food with no luck. Once I was picked up and taken to a local veterinarian for a check up. It was decided I was too weak to travel to the USA and the good people who offered me food needed to make sure I wasn't sick.
So, Finally in April they came back to pick me up and take me home with them. I couldn't be happier!
Here is what my current foster parent has to say about me:
"Harley was being cared for by a family in Mexico who kept him as an outside dog while we made arrangements to help him, so he has missed a few key moments of training. He acts like a little pup in a big boys body. He is slowly learning the ropes and learning from the other dogs in the home. He will need help on leash pulling and jumping on people when happy. He is great with people and children but until he learns jumping on people is not ok we suggest children over the age of 9. He is getting adjusted at mutliple dogs approaching him and when he feels comfortable he loves running with them. He is crate trained. and just such a handsome dog. He is a puppy in a teenagers body and will be a great companion."
Oh, also my foster parent forgot to mention, I LOVE food and will do anything for it so I may learn faster if you motivate me!
