Taylor started out as a pre-teen girl's dog, hence his nod to the movie Twilight name. The family split apart and the small dog that was his friend had a home but no one had room for a large dog so he moved in with the girl's grandfather. He was living in a backyard with no kids or dog friends so he was lonely. The grandfather was happy to keep him but felt he deserved a happier forever with a home with kids or another dog. The good news for a potential adopter is, other than a little inital nervousness, he has no abandonment issues.
Taylor is potty trained, loves sleeping inside with his foster brother Bower, and is great at the dog park with dogs of all sizes. He has not lived with cats but does not seem to mind them. He is still working on sleeping through the night in his crate. Since he was a backyard dog, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of it and needs to get up once a night to go potty. We are working on that though. He has also slept on a dog bed at night but due to his young age, he has a lot of energy so sometimes it is hard for him to stay in one spot, hence the crate. He loves playing with toys, is great riding in the car and is just an overall goofy guy. He's very happy and fairly chill when in crowds with a lot of dogs and distractions. He LOVES little kids and rarely barks.
