To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

We not only provide you with everything you need to take care of one of our rescues, but the experience is SO fulfilling. By placing one animal into a foster home, you allow us to save another. We are always in need of foster parents.

Rufus is fostered by a good friend of ARWOB, however, he is a courtesy listing for a different rescue group, to meet Rufus emails us (animalrescuers@sbcglobal.net) and will forward your message to his foster mom Helen who lives in Escondido/Carlsbad area or please visit the website at www.compassionforcanines.org

Rufus has been in foster care with Helen for a couple months and is an ADORABLE looking little guy, here is a little more about him:

Rufus is a 2 year male chocolate Pomeranian, weighs about 7 pounds. He is house trained and uses the doggy door. Rufus has been a bit traumatized and need some work with trust issues. He is very respectful to his foster siblings (dogs). He is good with kids and all adults. He has an old fracture, but has no problem getting around. He is easy on the leash and very independent.

Please let me know if you need help with any adoption event, I really appreciate all you do for these precious souls. Rufus is so cute, can be nippy at times, but when he is out on walk, sweet to everyone that comes up to him. He gets a little possessive with things.
