Bambi is a 1 1/2 year old Rat Terrier/Terrier/Maltese mix who is fully grown at 10 pounds. She has long legs and short, beige-tan wirey hair. She looks like Bambi really! Overall, she has a GREAT personality!
Here's her story:
She was rescued from Tecolotlan, Jalisco, Mexico, A LONG way from home.... one of our volunteers saw her being chased in the streets by a couple of large dogs when she outsmarted them and ran under a car. Her rescuer the proceeded to coax her out after the dogs left. She came out as soon as she saw food... Poor girl, she had so many fleas and tick, was so dirty, and really just skin and bones. SO, she is now in San Diego looking for a home.
She walks well on leash, rides well in the car, and is crate trained. Her best friend is a Border Collie named Moose. This little gril is VERY street smart, so she can easily out-smart some people and try to run out the door... once she knows and loves you, you might find out by the time you are getting ready to go out and get her she is already waiting for you to let her back in the house... SO, she is looking for a very secured home who will make sure she learns to stop being such a socialite and starts learning to wait until invited outside. Not a whinner or barker most of the time but sometimes her little terrier in her will come out and say something to he world. She LOVES children and other dogs. She hasnt been around cats but we believe she will be fine around them.
