Ruthie is afriendly 6-7 month old 12 pound doxi/terrier mix who was rescued when a student found her around her high school in National City. She is currently 11lbs and may reach 15-20lbs when fully grown. Ruthie is doing great in her foster home and gets along well with the dogs and cats living there. She is very sweet and gentle so she will do well with children, though she will need to be taught her manners of course. She is crate-trained and knows how to walk on the leash. She loves to cuddle but she is also VERY explorative and loves to play with ALL breed, size dogs and her expertice is to make everyone chase her around when she is playing in a multiple dog group. She is ideal for an adopter with a NORMAL 8hr work schedule as she can be as happy and content in her crate and be a silent calm girl but make sure when you are home you either have another dog for her to play with or you will exercise her well in the yard or for a nice hike or long walk because she loves to explore and be active.
