To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Zuko! He is a 6 month old HANDSOME medium-haired German Shepherd who currently weighs about 40 pounds. He will likely reach anwhere from 75-85 lbs, so he is a large breed. His family travels frequently so they no longer have the time to care for him. They say he is great around other dogs, in fact, he's so playful and goofy around them that he really doesn't care if he's being dominated or snarled at. Although he is fantasic with other dogs, they are not sure how he will do around cats. He's very social and mellow with people and he once lived with small children, so he does fantastic around them. He is loving and, as mentioned, loves being around people where he enjoys being babied by them.

Zuko is not a barker, plays with the ball, and knows how to walk on the leash, but like any young pup, he will require more training and practice on it. Overall, he listens very well, is easy-going, and has no food or toy aggression whatsoever. He is crate-trained though he will need to become accustomed to his new foster/home before we know if he is truly house-broken. He is neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, healthy, and ready for his new home immediately!
