Elsie is a 5-6 month old Spaniel/Terrier mix who weighs 10 lbs. She may potentially be 20 pounds when she is fully grown. She was found in a dumpster in Mexico around a month ago at which point a volunteer decided she definitely needed rescuing. She is crate-trained, leash-trained, good around dogs, cats, and people in general. She may not be ideal for people with balance issues as she does tend to enjoy walking in between their legs. She can potentially trip them until she is trained to mind people's space.
Elsie would LOVE a home with children or other playful dogs as she loves to move around and be active. She is perfect for an adopter who has a regular work schedule as she will patiently await their arrival in her crate until she can go potty and play. We need an adopter who is willing and able to help her learn and go through puppy obedience classes. She is SO LOVING, grateful and playful but so easy to care for and a great companion. As of 5/15/11 she is healthy and ready to find a great loving home.
