To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Delilah, an outgoing Beagle/Foxhound mix who is about 10 months old, 35 pounds, and a little higher than your knee. She is such a well rounded social, young dog!

She is a great companion who will make you laugh constantly and if you like to hike or lead an active outdoor life style she would love to go on adventures with you.

She is great around men, women, children and dogs of all sizes. She has not been tested around cats, but has not demonstrated prey drive, so we reckon she would do fine with them. She is crate-trained and is fairly quiet if she is in a quiet environment. She has always been around other dogs and we are not sure how she would do without another companion, but we are certainly open to finding out. She is not a huge barker, however, she will vocalize when there is activity around her. We recommend an experienced dog owner especially one knowledgeable about hound breeds or an owner who is able, willing and excited to learn what dog training/obedience is all about. She is food oriented and has proved to be an intelligent dog who will very likely learn fast about what is needed from her. She will be an excellent companion in the years to come.
