Simpson is a 1 year old Terrier/Italian Greyhound mix. Or at least that's the breeds he resembles. He has longer legs so would be a great jogging, running partner. Slender body and athletic type body. With a small face and cute little ears with huge eyes! He is really cute! AND His personality is just what every adopter looks for in a new companion. He might be shy at first but really once he warms up to you (usually by the end of the day) he learns to trust you and he is playful, cuddly, and just great to have around. He is housebroken, crate and leash trained. Enjoys car rides and gets along with children, cats and dogs of all sizes and breeds. His current foster parents have several of all the above! and they are loving outgoing family who work and go to school during the week leaving Sampson at home (while he behaves like a champ) and during the weekends they take him and the rest of their 'furry' family companions camping or hiking to which he just loves!

Sampson is not a barker, but will let you know if a stranger comes into the yard and unlike his potential breeds he really does very well left home alone with no separation anxiety exhibited. We would love for him to go into a home with another dog but he will do very well in a home without canine companionship as long as he continues to socialize with them maybe by going to the doggy park, etc.

Here's what his foster parents have to say about him:

He’s very active and playful just like a young pup.  He plays real hard then falls asleep.  He’s very affectionate with everyone, kids, men, everyone.  He loves to play with chew toys and will fetch them and bring them back.  He’s good when left alone and doesn't’t mind being by himself.  Not much of a barker.  He likes other dogs, big and small and ignores the cats if they ignore him.  He’s crate trained and housebroken.  He really has everything anyone could want in a dog.  He would do great in beginning obedience class with his new person;  he’s smart and very eager to please, just needs direction.  Just a handsome, well mannered, happy, love bug.
