Meet Captain or Cappy for short.
Cappy has been with us since Late April. We exited him from the shelter because he was under medical care for having scabies (mange) a contagious skin mite to both humans and animals alike, he was endangered of being put to sleep because of this.
So, after months of treatment he is finally recovered and is healthy and strong.
Cappy has been such a fabulous little baby, going through such isolation for a whole month and being so good and he has been a pleasure to care for. He is a happy loving puppy who loves to play. He enjoys the companionship of dogs and cats. He is not a barker.
He is currently 18 pounds and 3 months old, even though he looks like a German Shepherd and he might have a little bit of Rottie in him, but we are not sure. We thought he wouldn't grow too big, but lately Captain has gone through an immense growth spurt that we're just not sure anymore. He could possibly be anywhere from 40-50lbs, we are not sure at the moment.
He is not neutered just yet but he will be when he is old enough, so we require that his adopters live in San Diego area so we can schedule him and take care of it.
He is crate trained and working on his house breaking like any other baby he still has occasional accidents so he will benefit from adopter who will enjoy the puppy stages as he still needs to loose all his baby teeth and teething stages can be rough on furniture unless he has plenty of toys to keep him entertained.
Cappy is one of the groups favorites not only because he is adorable but he is such a great little fellow.
Please call us if you would like to meet with this little guy and provide him with a forever home.
