To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

This is Smokey and he is a 3 year old Schnauzer/Lhasa Apso mix. He is a very calm little guy, doesn't jump up often, and when he does with a quick "off," he is back on the floor again. He also is such a quiet little guy and rarely barks. He was really matted when we rescued him, so he is sporting a new haircut at the moment. Otherwise he has the typical Lhasa hair coat (shaggy) He certainly feels free of all that fur after being groomed!
Smokey loves to play with Elvis who is a bigger and stronger dog than himself and is very submissive. He would love a home with other dogs or children or an adult who will be able to love and baby him like he deserves. He is a great loving dog who enjoys dog parks, walks and car rides. He full grown and 20 pounds. He is currently fostered in a home with cats which he doesn't mind. House trained and walks well on leash.
He would be a great family addition to inexperienced dog owners and in both apartment or home setting
