Meet Sunshine!
Update 4/9/24 - We received this information from her current foster family:
Sunshine is a hoot! She’s such a playful active kitty that even Newt has a hard time keeping up with her. She loves toys and anything that moves. Sunshine has a cuddly “purrsonality” and loves to snuggle while giving a big purr on a lap. But sometimes when it looks like she’s all comfy she’ll get an idea to jump up and be ready to run somewhere else. Newt and Sunshine are fostered together in a quiet home and get along well but they also are fine doing things by themselves and with their humans.
Original Rescue Story:
Sunshine is sometimes called “Bullet” or “Adorable Little Nugget!” We love this girl SO much. She is the most loving, sweet purr machine who will find you when she is done playing and jump on you to keep you warm while you are sitting in your office chair. If she is in the bedroom, be careful to check the bed before sitting down, as you may see a “lump” under the blankets. She loves to wiggle herself under the blankets of a made bed. It’s like a kitty fort to her! Sometimes she thinks her human is a cat tree and will climb up your back or leg with her tiny little ninja daggers and although we have worked on this with her, we find it’s easier to keep her claws trimmed and this seems to have worked. Sunshine loves to play and RUNS so fast from room to room or down the hallway like a speed demon. She thinks she is a race car driver.
The best home for Sunshine will be one that has another kitty friend in the home OR to a home that will also adopt one of her ARWOB kitty friends so that she has kitty companionship. She gets along great with Neeko, Newt, or Neo, three ARWOB kitties that she lives with. Since living at Casa de ARWOB, she has been exposed to dogs and has no fear of them. If she feels intimidated by the many exuberant ARWOB dogs, she will stand like a Halloween kitty and face them just so they know she won’t let them get under her skin. We do think she would accept a dog friend that is kitty friendly and easier going than the little pack at Casa de ARWOB. Sunshine would be good with children who are respectful of kitties and don’t mind being scratched once in a while. After all, kitties will be kitties and sometimes when they play they accidently leave little scratches here and there.
