About Maggie | |
|
|
Maggie is a joy, but her future owner must know that she tends to resource guard socks, paper products, and stuffed animals. Until she learns to give up her toys, Maggie is not recommended for a home where there are toddlers or small kids. Kid that are older than 12 would probably be okay for Maggie as long as they know how to handle some of Maggie's behavioral issues without showing discouragement.
Maggie also tends to get anxious and barks when she hears loud noises, people coming to the door, etc. She has been taught to “go to bed” or “go to the kitchen,” to remove her from the situation and calm herself.
More about Maggie
Special Needs: Medical issues: Maggie is on limited-ingredient food (California Natural) to prevent skin irritations that she had years ago. She has a partially torn ACL. Her vet has recommended surgery. He indicated that she would need to limit her mobility for 6 weeks in order to recover. Please DONATE to help pay for her surgery!
If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE IN THE MILITARY please fill out a short questionnaire in addition to the adoption application.
