Scheduled Adoption Events

Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.  If you would like to try a Foster to Adopt trial, please fill out an Adoption Application. 

If you are only interested in temporarily Fostering one of our rescues, please fill out a Foster Application.

 

Maggie is an affectionate, playful, loving dog who would probably do best in a home that is quiet and where she would receive a lot of attention.  She is a great companion dog! Maggie is fine with other dogs, usually pretty playful. She likes the doggie park, etc. The only exposure to cats are the ones that walk along our back fence and tease her. She usually barks and chases them.

Maggie is a joy, but her future owner must know that she tends to resource guard socks, paper products, and stuffed animals. Until she learns to give up her toys, Maggie is not recommended for a home where there are toddlers or small kids. Kid that are older than 12 would probably be okay for Maggie as long as they know how to handle some of Maggie's behavioral issues without showing discouragement.

Maggie also tends to get anxious and barks when she hears loud noises, people coming to the door, etc.  She has been taught to “go to bed” or “go to the kitchen,” to remove her from the situation and calm herself.
