UPDATE 5/22/23:

Oh my! Well, it looks like the ONLY feasible explanation as to why our sweet boy is STILL under our care is the biography had not been updated since March! So, lets get started and find this boy the amazing family/parent/owner and guardian he deserves!

SO many great things to say about this boy. We will try to keep it short but we make no promises! Here we go.
Tito was originally rescued 02/2023 from tijuana Mexico as a stray along with siblings Toto and Tita. Tita was adopted back in February and tito and toto stated together in the same foster homes for a while. They have both been in foster homes with 3 different temporary foster families. All of which had children from 6-10yr of age and we know Tito does amazing with ALL humans no matter the age. In April Toto went into foster care on his own and after a month the foster family (a returning arwob adopter) decided they could not part with him and he was adopted, yay!
Tito however has been at casa de ARWOB and we would love to find him his own personal foster home or even better an amazing forever family who will adore him as much as we do!

Tito is a special sweet goof ball. He has not found a forever family only out of pure bad luck because he is amazing!

Crate trained, YUP.  He can be a bit of a 'lazy' pup as he LOVES to flop on a dog bed of couch and NAP. that is not to say he is an active energetic typical teenager. But he is an expert cuddler ;)
He is fantastic with dogs of all ages, sizes, sex. He can sometimes be an 'old man' and grumpy when he first meets new younger pups but he is just being a teenager ha ha
He becomes friends with all dogs soon enough, His current BFFs at casa de ARWOB (in case you are looking to adopt 2 friends) are Buttercup and Tessa BUT in all honesty he plays just as much with ALL the dogs like winnie, salome and agathat too!
He sleeps in his crate alone. He can sleep through a bomb going off! As long as he has a comfy blanket in his crate.
We can't say he is crate trained because he is never home alone or unsupervised but he has never had an accident as he has access to the yard. He pees like a girl and swats vs lifting leg and typically always pees in the same place in the yard. Same with number two, too much information? well, hold on there is more!
He is completely fine with cats too! He sees them as friends and depending on their personalities he will play or ignore them, prefers to have a kitty who will play though.
He is not a very vocal dog but he is a shepherd so he can bark to warn about things but typically the only time you hear him be vocal is when he is playing in a group dog setting. He is great 1 on 1 play times but when there are more than 3 and its a rough housing play and chase he tends to referee and sometimes bark at them, we are working on that but sometimes you choose your battles as its a proper way to communicate and the 'ok/acceptable' time to do so.
He was probably a GOAT in his past time because he LOVES to jump up the fence to try to grab leaves from the neighbor's yard that hang over and tries to eat some weeds growing through cement cracks, twigs? are no match either! if there are nice long tree branches on the floor he will find them and attempt to take them back home as souvenirs, silly boy. ALSO, he is an EXCELLENT jumper which is a good and not so good thing. He will need a 6 ft fence for sure. He has jumped baby gates like is a game saying, "look at me and what I can do!" like a little goat prancing on one side and the other making the rest of the doggos jealous they can't follow. He has jumped some 4ft corrals as well almost cleared them, which is impressive and NOT an issue but would be if you have a yard without a 6ft fence. Now, he is not one to try to be an escape artist, if he does it likely only because there is a nice leave or branch on the other side he wants or anything that resembles FOOD. He will likely jump on furniture like tables, he had this issues when he first arrived casa de arwob where he was just up on too many different surfaces so he likely wasn't getting much in the manners department being moved to different short term foster homes BUT now here with us that has improved drastically and although you may still tend to occasionally turn around and see this goof ball up on the coffee table, this is something so simple to work on and as he grows up and continues with a family that tells him "off" he will stop ..... he rarely does this anymore, but adopters should know this is a potential. He loves dog toys and especially any nylon or benebone chewing bones. He does have good recall when called as well which is rare for a teen boy.

Tito loves to pray to the sun god on a DAILY and loves napping under the sun a couple times a day

Tito has excellent eye contact and is extremely food oriented. Fantastic match for anyone looking for an agility dog or dog training because he is SMART and would learn FAST.
Need a running partner, he may be the right match but we can say during the monthly hike packs we hold for our ARWOB dogs, he sometimes is the one who is DONE after a 2-3mile walk and says 'IM OUT FOR THE DAY!" because he is an old should/boy at heart. He LOVES to run around and play chase, tag and tug of war with his doggy friends. He tends to win the hearts of alpha dogs, at least alpha adult female dogs. He is a submissive personality he is not trying to make waves with dogs. He is an excellent driving copilot. His previous foster family took him to several camping/RV trips and also had a pool so he can be a bit savvy on those settings.

Tito is a LOVING dog who would be an excellent dog for a first-time dog owner or an experienced dog owner. Ideally a home with another dog or a family who is planning on keeping him socialized and happy around other dogs to continue to play and have doggy friends, he would not be happy to be an isolated dog in the family although he adores humans. He would be an excellent dog park/beach or doggy day care dog. He has grown a lot in the 4 months he has been with us and as of 5/22 he is 35 pounds but has a slender active body type we really don't think he will reach 50 pounds and likely will stay in the 40 pound range.
Being a casa de ARWOB doggy he doesn't get many daily walks except the adoption events and outings like the hikes, but we have not seen any leash reactivity.

If you ask me, he is special and unique. The way he looks at you with those eyes is mesmerizing and also the way he stretches in his dog bed or just flops on the couch like he had a 'long day' of doing NOTHING at all ha ha

Health wise nothing to report, fully vaccinated and has been more than ready to be adopted for a long time. Hopefully, we can get him an amazing loving fun family soon. If you think this boy is the one for you, please submit a dog adoption application online. We do offer foster to adopt trials, but the first step is to submit an adoption application and you can also meet him in person at any of the scheduled adoption events though May and June.

ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY:

This adorable trio was rescued from the streets of Mexico.  They were seen running scared in the streets by a good Samaritan, who was able to come to their aid.  It was obvious they had been abandoned and sadly their mother was no where to be found.

These pups are super social and happy-go-lucky.  They are very active, but they are not barkers.  They want to be friends with everyone they meet and they would love to find a forever home of their own!  Just like with all young pups, they will require Puppy 101 training and an adopter that is willing to help them learn to be the best they can be.

If you are interested in one of these cuties, please complete an online application at www.arwob.org right away.  Don’t wait, as these adorable puppies would love to meet you!
