Meet The "M" Babes!
These adorable sweethearts are going to be ready for a meet and greet and potential adoption as soon as 4/15/23. They were born 2/16/23 in a home where their parents are owned. The Mom is 65 pounds and the dad is 75 pounds, which means these BIG babies will be large breed dogs, probably in the 70-pound range. Thankfully the owners allowed ARWOB to sterilize both parents to prevent future pregnancies and stop pet overpopulation. We will be looking for fosters or adopters for these pups starting the weekend of 4/13/23 and can start setting up meets NOW. We were informed that the “grandparents” of these pups were a pure breed Weimaraner and pure breed Great Dane, but sadly we have no contact or anyway to get ahold of the owners. We also do not believe they would allow us to sterilize them, but at least we sterilized the parents of these babies and can prevent future accidental pregnancies or planned breeding.
The babies are just like their parents and are very sweet and social. They have typical puppy ENERGY and are ready to get into puppy shenanigans! If you are looking for a large breed pup, who will grow to be in the 70-pound range, then you found them! There are 2 males and 3 females.
This puppy will be sterilized in the 92104 area of San Diego on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. The drop off time will be between 7:30-8:30 am. The sterilization surgery is already included in the adoption fee. This means priority will given to local San Diego area applicants. This will ensure the adopter is able to take their new puppy to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment and then pick the puppy up at the end of the day after surgery. Please do NOT submit an application if you do not live in the San Diego area. If you would like to adopt and live outside of San Diego area, you are welcome to wait until the sterilization surgery has been completed to see if the puppy is still available at that time (please note that we do not place holds on any of our rescues). Of course, adopters will receive thorough information about their surgery appointment.
The pups are currently learning crate training and they are fantastic with both dogs and cats. They have been exposed to children, but they are typical playful big puppies, who are bound to jump up or even “puppy nibble” on children or adult hands.
We are looking for adopters who have a flexible work schedule or a conducive home environment for their new family member, so the pups will not be left home alone a long time. Adopters should be READY to tackle all that comes with raising a puppy and make sure they are well socialized and trained as they grow up. Only adopters willing to make this commitment will be considered, as we want these babies to grow up to be amazing companions with the right guidance from their adoptive family. Dog training is a must for ANYONE who is looking to add a dog into their family.
Do you want to meet these ADORABLE babes?! Don't delay! Please submit an online adoption application TODAY! We will email or text you to schedule a 10-15 minute phone interview and hopefully schedule a meet and greet as soon as 4/13/23! These babies can't wait to meet their new families, so let's get them HOME! :)
