Kodiak has an adoption pending as of 1/26/23.
Meet the 101 Dalmatian wannabes!
These precious little cuties really took the 101 Dalmatian movie to heart and tried their best to get a part!
These 4 siblings consist of Patches (male) and his 3 sisters Kodiak, Oreo and Panda, who were rescued from Ensenada Baja Mexico and are now done with their quarantine and are with a foster family in San Diego. They have had their second vaccination series and are healthy little cuties. They are available for adoption now and will be having a debut to meet potential adopters the weekend of 1/6/23.
The pups ALL have beautiful sweet, gentle yet playful dispositions. With the right adopter, they will continue to be amazing adult family companions. They are perfect with other dogs, gentle and sweet with cats (although at times they are also playful because well, they are babies!). The pups currently live with a foster family with 2 young elementary school boys, whom they adore. As of 1/5/23, these pups are currently between 6-8 pounds, with Patches being the largest and Oreo being the smallest. They are approximately 2 - 2.5 months old, which means they will be a perfect medium sized dog, who will grow into the 30-50 pound range (most likely in the 30 - 40 pound range). They are too small to be a “Pitty” and too large to be Chihuahua. All we can say is being a Baja blend, they likely have some large and small breed parents making them excellent medium sized dogs. They have some looks and physical attributes that make us think Boxer or Boston Terrier, but applicants need to know they likely have many breeds in their DNA, some of which are going to be large breeds like Pit Bull, Lab, etc and other small breeds like Chihuahua, Terrier, etc.
Please, don’t apply for these pups if you are looking for a Boxer or Boston Terrier pure breed because they aren’t going to be as big as a Boxer nor as small as a Boston Terrier, as they will definitely be somewhere in between in size.
The pups are available to meet adoptive families NOW, but do know the 4 siblings are scheduled to be sterilized on Monday 1/23/23 and this is NOT a flexible date. If a potential adopter meets them as soon as 1/8/23, they can be adopted that day. However, the adopter will need to drive their newly adopted pup to their sterilization appointment, which will be done in the North Park area (92104 zip code). The adopter will need to drop them off between 7:30am-8:30am, and then pick them up that same afternoon (usually between 3:30-4:30pm). If an adopter lives within 15 miles, an ARWOB volunteer would be happy to help facilitate with either drop off or pick up, but this date and location is SET with no changes allowed. If this is not a problem for adopters, please apply at arwob.org
