Meet Mango!
Update from Mango’s foster family:
“If you are looking for a “velcro” cat, then Mango is your cat! He doesn’t like being picked up and held but besides that all attention is more than welcome and often requested. He even loves his belly rubbed just like a dog. A neighbor visited him while I was away overnight and reported that “Mango is a better cuddler than any girlfriend I have ever had.” Although he is around 8 years old, he still loves to play in various ways and appreciates some cat nip every once in a while as well. He really is the perfect companion and will be sure to keep you company throughout the day…even if that means simply sleeping nearby while you work.”
Mango’s story:
Mango and his brother were originally adopted together as kittens in 2015. Sadly, their family dropped them off at a local shelter in 2020 and ARWOB was contacted. After they came back into our care, they were adopted separately to two different families in 2021. Unfortunately, Mango was returned to ARWOB in November 2022 because the family who adopted him has another cat that is not compatible with Mango.
The best home for Mango would be one where he would be the only cat. Or he could possibly be adopted into a home with another kitty if that cat is secure and not submissive. Mango tends to try to annoy kitties that are insecure. Mango is great with all people, including children! We are not sure how he might do with a dog.
Mango is currently being fostered by a single working adult in an apartment setting in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego. His meet and greets will be held at his current foster home. We would love to get him adopted or find him a foster by 1/5/23, at which time he would need to go into a boarding facility because his current foster will be traveling in January.
