Meet Cooper!

LAB LOVERS- HERE’S YOUR DOG!

Meet COOPER, an 8 ½ year old black lab who is looking for his forever home.

Things started out sad for Cooper. He was found on the streets of Tijuana by an overcrowded Mexican rescue. They got him to safety and off the streets, but he was all but forgotten for two years. We can’t say much about what happened to him in his early years, but what we know now is that HE IS LOVELY, just the best gentle easy going, mild to light energy level who just SMILES all day long and has no issues with the dogs she meets and enjoys humans SO MUCH.

ARWOB was able to bring sweet Cooper to the U.S. and his life has been much better since. He was treated initially for tick borne disease, being underweight and having high kidney values, possibly due to his environment in Mexico. He’s definitely put on the weight he lost, and we are hoping his kidney values stabilize. Right now, he’s eating a medical diet which he thoroughly enjoys.

COOPER is a total sweetheart! He’s gentle and kind, friendly with other dogs while not being in their face. He takes treats easily and  is interested in cats, but doesn’t chase or get too close.

Cooper is house-trained, crate-trained and loves to snuggle on the couch. He loves to go on walks and has no trouble with stairs. For his age, he is quite mobile. He should do well with children and other pets.

Cooper must have had a family in the past because his manners are perfect! He loves people and gets along great with other dogs. He’s house trained, crate- trained and loves his walks. He is currently with a foster who says that he is an absolute love and blended ritht into her family of furbabies.

Reasons to adopt Cooper:

1. At 55 pounds, he’s fully grown and a good-sized Labrador mix.
2. He’s chill and rarely barks.
3. After a walk, he makes an excellent couch potato to cuddle with. He loves a good ear scratch.
4. Cooper loves people and I can tell he will be devoted to his new family.
5. He can entertain himself with a toy, a bully stick or a walk around the yard.
6. He comes when called, and knows sit, out, leave it and no.
7. He’s gentle and loving.

Cooper is living with a foster that has two dogs and a cat. This stunning gentleman is looking for his forever home.
Cooper is an amazing dog!
He’s waiting for you and hoping that you will give him the forever home of his dreams!❤️

Please fill out an adoption application to start the process of meeting COOPER. It does not commit you to adoption, as we will review the application and get back to you.

We can arrange a meet and greet with other pets, and a foster-to-adopt trial.

DON’T LET HIM GET AWAY!
