Meet Leprechaun!
UPDATE 3-28-22: Here is what Leprechaun's foster family has to say:
Leprechaun is such a big loving bashful puppy. He is clumsy and goofy and loves to waltz around the yard as long as he is in short distance from his people. He is so cuddly with his thick fur coat and his big pointy ears. He is the cutest little man in town! Leprechaun is a bit cautious with new people but warms up to you as soon as he knows you have love for him. He would be a loyal companion for any loving family that has enough space for him because he might grow to be fairly large. He will love his family forever and give you big puppy hugs!
ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY:
Patty was rescued from Ensenada Mexico along with her 7 pups (4 boys and 3 girls). Mama Patty is a very sweet and easy going German Shepherd, who is still a bit underweight and currently in the 50 pound range. She will likely reach 60-70 pounds when she reaches a healthy weight.
The boys have been separated into pairs and are being fostered in two different foster homes (Blarney and Celtic together; Leprechaun and Shamrock together). These puppies would certainly benefit from being enrolled in standard puppy obedience classes. They are your typical happy, outgoing, sociable, and playful shepherd puppies. They are great with people (including children), dogs and cats. The pups are crate trained, but they are NOT yet potty trained. These puppies are likely going to reach the 50-70 pound range when they are fully grown. We do not have any information about who their father(s) were, so this is our best estimate.
The boys are available for adoption NOW! Please submit a dog adoption application online at ARWOB.org and a volunteer will call within 3 days of receiving your application. If you are not contacted in this time frame, please contact us to follow up on your application. If your application is approved to move forward with the adoption process, we will then set up a meet and greet. If the meet goes well, they can go home that same day! We do not place holds on any of our rescues.
If you are interested in one of these handsome boys, please submit an online adoption application at www.arwob.org today!
