To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Alexa!

Alexa is an amazing kitten/teen who is approximately 6 months of as as of 10/1/21. This sweetheart came to ARWOB along with her 2 siblings back in May when they were rescued from Ensenada Mexico. She was fostered by a family with children in June and July. All 3 siblings found homes in August, but sadly at the end of August, we received a call from Alexa’s adopter informing us that she had ringworm (a fungal skin infection). The adopter was fearful that her 2 children would contract the skin disease and returned Alexa to ARWOB because she was unable to do the treatments at home or keep her away from her kids. Alexa was returned to ARWOB on 9/7/21 and she has received her special lyme dips, which made her smell GREAT! Ha, ha! She is now healthy and ready for adoption! She enjoys her other kitty friends, such as Rigatoni, Pasta, and Babs.

Alexa is a total purr machine and will purr very loudly. She loves attention and will STEAL food. She is a food hound, so food will not last if left unsupervised on the table! Alexa is a social, loving, and very playful kitty. She is your typical outgoing “purrfect” kitty, who needs a home with another cat. She can be adopted with another ARWOB kitty or she would be fine with another young/adult playful feline friend in the home. She would be okay with a single working individual or a family with children. She is fine with dogs, but does the typical “Halloween kitty pose” when she first meets them. Alexa is healthy and ready for adoption! She is currently being fostered in a home with Rigatoni and Pasta in the Clairemont area.
