Meet Aly!
We are just getting to know more about Aly, but so far we can say that she is a teen pup, who is just under a year old and is very playful and sweet. She was rescued off the streets of Ensenada Mexico and has been fostered by her rescuer in Baja, along with other dogs, cats, and smaller children. She is now in San Diego as of the first week in June and is ready for adoption!
Aly is super social and sweet, and like all small breeds, she can cuddle on the couch or play a lot. She is crate trained, but she will need dog training like any young pup. She is not house trained yet, but we are working on that. So if you are looking for a potty trained pup or someone who is already fully trained, she is not the dog for you. Hence, we are looking for an adopter that understands that she will need guidance as a new family dog and all the training that is required when adopting a new pup like Aly.
We do not know if Aly is hypoallergenic or a big shedder, because she is around a lot of other dogs and cats. If you are looking for a hypoallergenic and low shedding dog, we do not recommend that you apply for her as we cannot guarantee any of those qualities.
Aly can meet potential adopters right away. If all goes well with her meet and greet, she can potentially go home that day. However, she will be spayed in the 92104 area of San Diego on Monday, July 19, 2021. This means priority will given to local area applicants. This will ensure they are able to take Aly to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment and then pick her up at the end of the day after surgery. Please do NOT submit an application if you do not live in the San Diego area. If you would like to adopt and live outside of San Diego area, you are welcome to wait until her sterilization surgery has been completed to see if she is still available at that time (please note that we do not place holds on any of our rescues).
