Meet Nala!
Nala was rescued off of the streets of Tijuana. She is a super sweet, gentle girl who loves chin and belly rubs. She loves attention, although she is little awkard sometimes being picked up, but super lap kitty! She is now healthy and ready to be adopted. She can gain more weight still, but she is spayed and doing great. She is nervous around dogs, so we are not sure if she is still wary from surviving the streets of Tijuana and is fearful of them. We are not sure if she would do well around dogs. We think she will be ok with cats, but as the days progress, we will know if she plays with other fellow arwob kitties at the center. We do think she will do well with children. She would also do well in a single pet family.
Update 6/16:
Nala is in our cat adoption center and all of our volunteers can't share anything but great comments about this sweet girl! She is the sweetest lap cat and LOVES to be petted under her chin and wants to sit right by your leg or cuddle in your arms while waatching the other kitties in the adoption center. As another volunteer wrote, the charming quality about Nala is her affection and cuddles. She loves to sit on everyone's lap and would be great for someone who loves that quality in a cat! She is curious about the other cats and only hisses occassionally when they get right in her face or too close to her personal space. Other than those occassions, she is curious and playful with other kitties and would probably be great with kids, as well.

First, submit a cat adoption application online for review.
A volunteer will call you to finish processing your application and, if approved to adopt, we can schedule an actual meet and greet to interact with this girl at our cat adoption center located at the PetSmart in Clairemont where Nala is currently a resident and you can meet her through outside the windows but not in person until application is approved.
Meet and greets can happen pretty quickly as long as applicants can gather all the items from our adoption check list and have them ready. ARWOB does NOT place HOLDS on rescues, so please, only submit an application to adopt if you are READY to adopt within 2-7 days of submitting the application. Typically, the same day of meet and greet (assuming interaction goes well) is the same day of adoption to avoid multiple meetings.
IF a team member doesn't contact you within 72hrs of submitting an application, please follow up with us via email or phone call, otherwise, it may be overseen.
