Meet Fred and Ginger!
These two gorgeous young dogs were rescued from the streets of Ensenada Mexico. A good Samaritan noticed two new dogs wandering in their neighborhood. The dogs started to hang around and sleep on the sidewalk nearby. The good Sam contacted a local Ensenada rescue for help, who took them in and started quarantine/vaccines right away, so they could be placed in ARWOB’s adoption program.
We believe these two are siblings, as Ginger is VERY attached to Fred and is always following him around and cuddles with him when they sleep. So far we can see that both of them are very sweet dogs. Fred seems to be the more outgoing happy-go-lucky type, whereas Ginger is more the gentle, worried soul, but both of them are very loving and playful. They have done well with dog introductions, but so far they have NOT been tested with cats. Fred and Ginger are starting to learn crate training, but adopters need to be prepared to treat them as if they are still puppies and provide them with all the training required (i.e. crate training, house training, and obedience training). It would be great if they could be adopted together!! If not, Ginger would likely do best in a home with another dog for a friend. The ideal adopter will be someone with a home and a yard, so they will have space to run and play. We would love to find them an active adopter, as they would make a wonderful hiking partner for someone who loves to be active and outside.
We are still getting to know Fred and Ginger and we will update their bios as we learn more. They will be available to meet as early as Friday, 2/26/21. Therefore, we recommend if you are interested in adopting one of these cuties, that you submit an online adoption application now so that you can be ready to meet them as early as 2/26. Applications can be submitted at www.arwob.org. Don’t wait!
