Meet Alfie not to be confused with Alvin!
Alfie is a newbie to ARWOB and he is a very handsome little guy, who was rescued from the streets of Tijuana. We do not know his breed, but like all Baja mutts, he will likely grow up to be a medium-sized dog breed in the 35-55 pound range. He is currently 5 months old and is approximately 18 pounds.
Like all pups, Alfie is active, playful, social and loves other dog and cat friends! He is good with cats and kids. He is learning to be crate trained and soon we will teach him to walk on a leash. He is okay riding in the car and is a very sweet pup.
The perfect adopter will have the time to house train Alfie. As a true terrier/shep, he is smart and active. He will need an adopter who takes puppy training, socialization, and exercise seriously, because Alfie is not a low energy dog. He likes to investigate and observe! So his adopter will need to continue to socialize him around other dogs and people.
Alfie is scheduled for be neutered on Monday 10/5/20 in the 92109 Pacific Beach area. Adopters can wait until after he has had his surgery. Or if the adopter lives close by and would like to adopt Alfie prior to his neutering in order to get to know him before his big day, you are welcome to meet him and possibly foster-to-adopt as soon as 9/30/20.
