UPDATE 7/10/20:
Our foster family has told us that Ra and Radburn are total sweethearts. They do well in their crate at night and are picking up quickly on potty training. They are very playful and just love to play fetch.
ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY:
Meet The 'R' pups! These little chunky trouble makers were rescued in Ensenada, Baja Mexico in late May. They have now finished their second set of vaccinations and quarantine and are ready to be transported to San Diego to find forever families.
They are scheduled to be sterilized in the 92104 area code in late August and adopters need to be local to San Diego to be able to drive them to their pre-scheduled neuter/spay appointments. We will not be able to cancel/reschedule and will only consider adopters local to San Diego, who will follow our request of having them sterilized at their scheduled appointments (ABSOLUTELY NOT LATER). Sadly, because of COVID, that is the soonest available appointment and we don't want to hold them back from being adopted and spending time with their forever families. However, families will need to continue their vaccination series through their own expense at family veterinarians.
These pups are typical shepherd mix pups with NO knowledge of parents, but we know they will likely be no smaller than 40 pounds and we don't believe they will be bigger than 70 pounds. They will likely be in the 45-60 pound range when full grown. Adopters will need to have time for puppy training (i.e. house, potty, crate, and leash training).
Like all pups, they are social and friendly with all they meet, both human and animals. Their “meet and greets” will be scheduled in the 92117 area and we are accepting applications now. Don’t wait! Please submit an online application today at arwob.org
