Meet Virrey!
Virrey is a very handsome young teen whom we think is a dalmatian/pointer mix and true to the breed an active dog who needs an adopter with time to train and excercise him.
He is a loving dog, very social and gets along with most dogs. He has not been cat tested but we can upong adopters request. He was rescued in april as a young teen but had to stay with his rescuers/foster in Ensenada. baja mexico while he recovrered from skin mites as he was found wondering the streets of baja skinny and full of parasites. He has been ready for adoption since july but we have not found a foster parent for him in san diego and has had to stay with his foster in Baja. The foster family consists of 2 adults and a child as well as their 2 personal dogs. They do mention Virrey doesn't love being left home alone ei he needs a home with people or dogs to keep him company. We are not sure if perhaps he could stay home alone and we don't know much of Virrey in a home here in san diego because he is currently boarding in kennels in san diego which helps for him to learn to walk on leash and meet new people, we would LOVE to find a foster for this handsome boy, if you'd like to adopt Virrey we would request he is first fostered for a 2 week trial to give him time to acclimate and for both he and adopters to know each other. We will update this bio when we receive more information about him but for now we can just say he is a pretty good dog who would be a great family member for experienced or active dog owners.
