Meet the Pooh babies!

These ADORABLE sweet sweet babies have the unfortunate destiny to have been tested FIV +
Their mom was a feral cat who had her babies in a bike shop in Valley Center. The owner of the shop moved the babies instead of waiting for mom to come back and we then had a litter of babies who needed to be bottle fed. Their foster family did a great job raising these kittos surounded by people, dogs, and cats. They are well rounded, well socialized, purr buckets of joy! Families shouldn't be scared of their disease as we know MANY many MANY FIV cats reach the 18yr old mark so their disease is not a curse into their life span. Studies show cats with FIV can absolutely and safely live with cats who are NOT FIV + without worrying about being infected. THE ONLY way to be infected would be cats who are fighting and BITING drawing blood... play biting is fine. ONLY hard bites which actually draw blood could they infect another cat. Its a feline disease and only affects cats. These babies can be adopted as an only kitty or in pairs or into homes with other felines either fiv postive or negative.

We are looking for IMMEDIATE foster families, foster to adopt families, and, of course, ADOPTERS!

These babies need to be fostered until they reach 3 pounds ( as of 9/15 they weigh 1.5lbs) at which time they can be sterilized AND retested to make sure they continue to be postive. Adopters would be recommended to retest these babies at the 7month age to make sure it wasn't just mom's antibodies that made their test positive, but for now we have to say they are likely FIV positive.

Please, help us save these babies. We already rescued them, but now we need to find forever families who absolutely are ready for a lifetime commitment understanding they MUST stay indoors ONLY FOREVER.

If you'd like to meet these babies, please submit an application online @arwob.org or email us at animalrescuers@sbcglobal.net. You can also meet them in person during their debut at the Sunday 9/15/19 adoption event debut.
