To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Eddie!

Eddie is a handsome, gentle giant. He also might be a cat in a dog's body! He loves to lounge around the house, sunbathe in the backyard, lie in front of the screen door to watch what's happening in the neighborhood. He loves endless pets and scratches, and occasionally he will have the zoomies and run laps around the house and toss his toys around. He is a super loyal and easy-going guy, always happy and wagging his tail with a big smile on his face. You will never feel lonely with Eddie always by your side, lying at your feet while you work at your desk or cuddling next to you as your Netflix binging partner.

Although he likes to lounge around the house like a cat, Eddie loves going on walks and car rides. He is an active guy and needs a yard and regular exercise. He is not a barker but will alert you if someone is walking by the house.

Eddie is a very social and friendly dog with humans of all ages.
He has not lived with other dogs and is best for a home/family who is not looking to own multiple dogs. He is not dog aggressive but he is also not great with all dogs and will occasionally bark at other dogs he sees on walks. He seems to be reactive to larger males. He has attended several adoption events and has friended many of the arwob dogs on leash.
He has been in the same foster home for about 8 months and the foster family can answer all questions about him. He is a very loving sweet boy who enjoys to meet people and other dogs on leash, for quick 'hi and bye' but has not been off leash around other dogs.

If you are looking for a dog to enjoy walks, hikes and going out and about town without the interest or need of going to dog parks, doggy day care, etc then Eddie wold be your match!

The ideal adopter would be an experienced dog owner that can be his "pack leader" to guide him, has the patience and consistency to continue his training, and work with him to build his confidence and doggy social skills.
