To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Cleo update 2/20 from her weekend foster parent:
Cleo was totally awesome to have over the weekend.

She’s really good in a crate and only barks a little when we leave and then calms down. She barks when the doorbell rings. She’s very mellow and snuggly at home and didn’t seem to have any trouble adjusting! She is really fantastic. She’s a little mouthy sometimes and could use some basic training. She is seriously so so sweet.

1. She’s not the best around cats which is really the reason we can’t adopt her
2. She’s great with other dogs but a little Toy focused i
3. Fantastic on the leash and in a crate
4. Super sweet, cuddly, and playful

She’s such a good dog. It was hard to bring her back. Hope she gets adopted soon!

Cleo is an adorable shepherd mix rescued from the streets of Tijuana. She a medium size pup who is a perfect size for San Diego apartment living. Cleo was rescued with a fractured hind leg, a very old fracture that healed improperly and will need an adopter who is not looking for a very active shepherd as much as she loves to run around in the yard with other dogs she has to be monitored at dog parks or doggy day care to not have other dogs play too rough with her. She would also benefit from dog training and an adopter with time to do regular training. Cleo has a very gentle and sweet demeanor. She is good with dogs and has not been tested around children but likely will do very well. To meet this sweet social loving girl submit an adoption application online @arwob.org
