This little lady was rescued off the streets of Tijuana. It seems (from information given to us) she was originally rescued by a very low income lady who could barely have enough for herself, but she was always known as the 'animal person' of her barrio. Sadly, this elderly lady passed away and people around took in her personal 2 senior chihuahuas and realized she had a very young kitten in the home. It seems she has an old injury which she likely never received care for and the lady had no means for herself, nevertheless for a kitty. So, we took her in and made arrangements to have her come to ARWOB in San Diego.
When Charm arrived, we realized the front left leg injury was likely a very old fracture since she was not acting like it was painful and was sweet and charming. Hence, we named her Charm. Charm has now been seen by a specialist who recommended to have her leg splinted for 4-6 weeks to see if she improves on her own. So, for now. no surgery. We will know in the future if we need to. Currently, she is being fostered by a vet so she is in excellent hands!
