Meet Daisy, Huey, Louie & Dewey!
These adorable siblings are super loving and have very fun and outgoing personalities! They are very short legged and long, hence we think they have a lot of doxie breed in them.
Huey was being fostered with a familyh with 2 very young children, a boxer and a chihuahua. Sadly. the children were not the best well behaved around Huey which made him very anxious. When we first heard of the issues at home we asked to have him returned to us to find a better suited family for him. Since he has been back we noticed unlike his other 3 siblins who were a little shy around people Huey is very attached to his humans. We are currently working on 'alone' time with him in his crate so that we can help him build a suitable and healthy relationship with his humans/fosters. Huey is an amazing loving, friendly and playful pup. He is good with cats, dogs and people. Currently he is not around children but we know he will do well with older children who are older than 12yrs old and give him his space and approach gently. For now, the best home for him would be a family who is constantly home or a working adult with other dogs in the home to keep him company. He should still continue with his alone time in the crate to not quickly bond and attach to his new foster or adopter which is what we beleive happened with this sweet pup.
He is not a big barker unless something is going on and he needs to warn you. To meet Huey contact us to set up a meet and greet. We would need a submited dog adoption application and if you like to foster him for a 2 week trial to make sure he is the right match for you just submit the adoption application and let us know you would like to do a foster trial first.
Huey will also be doing a debut dog adoption event attendace this saturday 12/22 at the Petsmart in clairemont 4253 genesse ave 92117 if you like to stop by and meet him before submiting an application online.
Huey is looking for both a foster parent or a family who can make sure he doesn't develop separation anxiety or would be equipped to handle his attachment if he did, like an ESA or take to work or doggy day care or a large family where there is always a family member home.
