About Moana | |

|
Moana is fantastic with people and would do well with children. She can also be a home protector; she will bark and warn you if someone is by the fence or door. She is crate trained and is not a big barker. She is energetic and an active adopter is best for her. She is a large breed dog in a smaller body so a family who can enroll in dog training to make sure she continues with the training her current foster mom has been doing.
Recently Moana has changed fosters and Her current foster mom (is an amazing advocate for healthy body and soul, she is the owner/founder of leashyourfitness.com - Moana is one lucky girl!) has been working with Moana and boy has she come a long way in a short period of time under the right guidance and training. Her foster has this to say:
"....Moana likes to jump but she is working on that. She loves to learn new things and would be a great agility dog and / or trail dog as she loves to be outside! She has mastered sit and has a great recall and is working on down and stay. She has been great in the car and crate. She can be active one minute and a cuddle bug the next. She loves to chew aka destroy her toys!...." As of 2/18 Moana is fostered in a condo and the only dog, she is doing well in that setting so a working adult as long as active will be well matched.
She is a wonderful companion and her previous foster mom had multiple dogs as well. Moana is great with most dogs as long as they are friendly. She will not do well with an alpha dog. She would also do well as an only dog. She also is around cats, while supervised, but would likely not leave unsupervised. She does well in car rides and would also do well in agility as she can jump! Moana has been with us since April 2018 and her pups were all adopted by May 2018 - Let's get Moana HOME!
Submit an adoptiona application online @arwob.org and stop by and meet her this saturday during our Adoption event at the Petsmart in clairemont 2/23 from 11am to 2pm.
