Hola! Me llamo Dona!
Hi my name is Dona and as you probably guessed, I am from south of the border! I am your typical Baja dog, who is adorable and has a VERY kind soul. I am super grateful for the opportunities I have had and I return that by showering humans with so much love!
I was rescued in September from a gutter where I had found safety and shelter for my 3 newly born puppies. A kind woman found us and took me and my puppies in so she could find help for us. I was able to nurse my pups and now that they have all been adopted, so I am looking for a forever family for myself. I am a small breed Shepherd at only 32 pounds. I have an wonderful calm demeanor and I am great with dogs and cats and of course humans of all sizes.
I would be perfect for a first-time dog owner, but I won't be available until I'm treated for two tick borne diseases (erlichia and anaplasmosis), which are both easily treated with antibiotics. Come December I will be ready and cleared to go home IF my foster mom doesn't adopt me (she has whispered a couple times to me that she might keep me). ;) I would just love to meet you when I'm ready, so please fill out an online application to get the ball rolling. I would love to play fetch with that ball!
