Meet Coco! Coco was rescued 9 months ago as a Baja stray by a kind retired gentleman, who unfortunately cannot keep him. Prior to that time he had been living outside begging for food. He often got beat up by other dogs because he is deaf, which made him more vulnerable. ARWOB is networking this sweet boy and we are hoping to find him a loving home because he is definitely a keeper! We are looking for a foster home for Coco immediately and we also offer a foster-to-adopt program as well.
Although Coco is deaf, this does not seem to hold him back much because he follows commands well and he is very smart. He is mellow, easy-going and truly just wants love and attention. He is house trained, loves to play, and gets along with all dogs and children as well. He has not been exposed to cats, so we are not sure how he will do around them.
Coco is very intelligent and wants to please, so with some patience he can learn many new things. Currently he has no experience staying/sleeping in a crate, but he has been doing well on a leash even though he is new to the concept. Coco doesn’t bark and he loves being outside, although he enjoys coming inside just to get attention. His ideal home would be a very special family or a couple who have a yard where he can play and another dog to keep him company.
