This beautiful girl with the striking tuxedo coloring cannot wait to find a forever home! She was found as a stray in San Diego, trying to survive on her own, and was rescued by ARWOB. When in our adoption center, she did not show well because she was unhappy surrounded by a number of other kitties running around in a small room...a completely different environment than in a stress free home.
Now, she has been in a foster home this past month and what a world of difference being with a family makes!! Her foster mom has this to say about her:
Kelly is the quintessential cat: independent, affectionate on her own terms, and fastidious. She ignores dogs and other pets like guinea pigs, and isn’t fond of playful kittens (she wishes they would just grow up and leave her alone). She is fastidious in speech, eating and the box. She is a quiet cat, eats neatly and has no accidents. Kelly enjoys human caresses and rubs, but she’d rather sit next to you than sit on your lap. There are times when she’s up for a snuggle and loves to rub your legs and purr once she gets to know you.
Update 6/23: While her foster family above is on vacation, Kelly is now with another foster family and her foster mom has this to say about her.....She is a wonderful kitty...affectionate, talkative and is right there close to you. Her favorite place in the evening is when her foster mom goes to bed and that is where you will find her. She loves sleeping on her foster mom's chest. So, as we hae seen, she thrives in home situations and is just waiting and so deserving of finding a forever home. This kitty has so much to offer and her personality comes through once the initial "get to know you" phase has passed.
The perfect forever home would be one with a calmer or older cat and humans that give their cat the time to demonstrate affection – and she will! She will make a great addition to this type of family. Might that be with you?
