To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Walter!

This loving kitty has a "guardian angel" and was rescued by a big hearted rescuer who, literally, saved him from being euthanized because of incorrect information. He is a courtesy listing and ARWOB has stepped in to help his rescuer find a forever home for this sweet boy who will brighten your life.

Here is Walter telling his story:

"I was living in an office building for many years and a couple of years ago I could not get enough to eat! No matter how much I ate, I was always starving. My owners that run the company told everyone I had Aids/Leukemia....(nothing similiar in those two diseases at all), and that I was down to 7 pounds, skin snd bones, because I was dying!

They didn't tell anyone that from Friday- Sunday I wasn't fed....at all...which didn't help either!! My human and only friend at the company, who started a year ago, always bought food for me and fed me. He was the only person who cared.

So Wednesday, before Thanksgiving, they told my human friend they were taking me to be put down forever. So, he took me to his friend, Amy. She loves me but isn't able to keep me forever and she wants me to have a special forever home filled with love.

Amy took me to the doctor for blood work and an exam and found out it was all a lie what the company owners had been saying!! I only have a hyperthyroid....I'm on medicine and have already gained 2 pounds!

I am so lovable and cuddly, take my meds easily, don't scratch a thing, love to play and just dote on you. I just want to be with you 24/7 or as much as possible!! I am truly irresistible!!

Btw....I love peanut butter/chicken soooo much. I am 10 years old, but please know I have many years left to love you "
