To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Smidge! Smidge has had a tough time in life and we are hoping to find an experienced adopter, who is willing to work with her and show her the kindness and patience she needs. Smidge was adopted from ARWOB about 6 weeks ago, but she has been returned to us because she is very timid and would constantly hide rather than interact with her adoptive family. They felt it would be best if they returned Smidge so that we could find a suitable home for her and an adopter that will help her gain her confidence.

If you would like to give this adorable girl a chance and have experience working with skittish pups, we are confident that she will come out of her shell. We believe that Smidge may be scared of younger, rambunctious children, so we recommend a home with just adults or with older, more mellow children over the age of 12.
