Meet the "Jewel Family"!

Momma Jewel and her three kittens were left inside a box at the entrance of a vet clinic in Tijuana. The staff found them and contacted ARWOB so we took them in. They have been in a waonderful foster home in San Diego since 4/20. Although they are not yet ready for adoption yet, they will be avvailable for adoption at our 5/21 event in our Cat Adoption Center at the PetSmart in Oceanside. We can set up a meet and greet before then as long as an application is submitted online and apparoved...knowing that they will not be ready until 5/21. We are taking applications now so that we will know who has been approved before our 5/21 event.

Their foster mom has this to say about them:

"Momma Jewel is very obedient, calm and patient. You can pet her till your heart's content and she won't try to nip your hand. She loves to have her chest and chin scratched. She also LOVES food and she comes running to you when you shake the food bag for meal time.

Jasper is the calmest of the three kittens. I guess since he is the biggest, he feels like he has to act the most mature. His favorite activity is wrestling with his sisters. He will sit on your lap contently while you pet him.

Opal is definitely the most talkative one. However, don't let her small built fool you, she is the most adventurous/courageous and will be the first one to explore a new part of the house or try something new. Opal also loves attention, she is happiest when people are around.

Beryl is the most curious one. She likes to constantly be sniffing around and discovering more about her surroundings. She is very good at climbing the scratching posts and loves to watch her brother and sister squabble."

If you are considering adopting one of these kitttens, please consider adopting a sibling or another kitten as well. As with all young kittens, he/she would be much too lonely without a companion when they are alone. This way they will have someone to play and cuddle up with when you are not with them (not to mention growing up together), and as an added bonus, they will double your pleasure and fun as well!

Although they will not be available for adoption before 5/21, go ahead and fill out an adoption application online.
