A 22-pound Cocker Spaniel was rescued by a good Samaritan from Baja Mexico, and gave birth shortly thereafter. ARWOB was willing to take care of the little family after they were turned away from another shelter. The puppies had to be bottle fed by fosters once they reached 4 weeks of age...expensive and time consuming. Five puppies went to one foster family, while the two runts were cared for by another family.
They will be available March 4th as they are now 8 weeks old and have had their first set vaccinations. Mom was lucky to have found a home already by someone who didn't want all the challenges of raising a puppy. The pups are eating both dry and wet food now. They love attention, people, and other animals. They all have their own personalities, but are all well-rounded, loved, and happy pups.
The pups are expected to reach 20-25 pounds when full grown, with short wavy coats, like spaniels, and waggy tails.
The adoption fee of $400 includes, vaccinations, sterilization and microchip, etc.
We highly suggest for adopters to go online to submit applications. Adopters with submited applications prior to the weekend adoption event will be given priority as we can review them ahead of time and get the adoption process started.
The pups will be making their debut this Saturday 3/5 at:
PETCO Clairemont location
From 10am - 12pm
Clairemont Town Square,
3994 Clairemont Mesa Blvd,
