Meet Shaw!
Shaw is a handsome young adult Husky (Possibly husky mix) who weighs as of 10/30/15 55 pounds but could reach 60 lbs. Shaw is attentative, smart and VERY food oriented. He was rescued off the streets in San Diego when he was found with a collar (No tags) and a bitten off leash attached. We found out the family who had him tied him out in their yard as they had no fence and they had several small children and a small male poodle. They opted not to take from shelter as they understood it was not fair to Shaw to keep him tied out. Because of that, he is a young adult in a teenage/puppy body and will need an adopter who can excercise him but also who can take the time to do training with him. Husky's everyone wants them, but not everyone should have them. We suspect an adopter will have their hands full the first month with house training and obedience training but we know this guy aims to please and is very sweet with no leash reactivity BUT does currently pull on the leash and need more leash training. He had a foster for 2 weeks in an apartment setting and he mentioned Shaw did GREAT in the crate, he also does great in the car. We are in desperate need of a foster or adopter for this sweet and handsome kid. Perhaps someone with a large acreage home for him to run in or someone who is active, he is not OVERLY active but he is NO couch potato. Please, call or email to meet him in San Diego TODAY!
