To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet sweet Federica!

Federica is a special little girl who has gone through so much change and hardship in her life.
She was ownd by a family who had bred her twice and made money out of her pups. During her thrid pregnancy she had complications giving birth and when the owners received the vet bill for a C-section emergency surgery, they chose to have her euthanasied. The veterinarian asked the owners to relinquish her to him understanding they lost ownership. They did and her surgery was performed, however, she lost all babies within a few days because they were too malnurished as so was she. She has been boarding at the vet hospital since April, 2015, and ARWOB was contacted to help with her continued care.

She is currently in a foster home and her foster mom has this to say about her:

"Three words to describe Frederica: Happy. Energetic. Silly. Photos can’t capture how fun and engaging she is. It’s amazing, after all she’s been through, that Frederica is so trusting and eager to please. Her favorite new pastime is chasing tiny tennis balls and playing with anything that squeaks. She is house trained, crate trained, and loves riding in the car. She’s also a good watchdog, but doesn’t bark unless there’s a reason. She gets along great with other dogs and is very respectful of them. Frederica would be perfect for anyone looking for a happy little dog who just wants to have fun!"

She is GREAT with people, children, dogs and the few times she has seen cats she didn'tbark at them or really want anything to do with them.
