To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Polly and her brother, Ollie! Before moving to the Oceanside Petsmart Cat Adoption Center, these cuties were fostered with a family that includes two adult cats and a dog, and they got along wonderfully well with everyone. They are healthy, full of energy and VERY affectionate.

Polly is a polydactyl, or "mitten cat". That's right, she has two extra toes on each of her front paws! Did you know that this cute genetic variation has long been considered "good luck" by sailors at sea, and that Ernest Hemingway was a famous aficionado of polydactyls?

Polly has been spayed, microchipped, and received her first set of vaccinations/deworming. If you would like to adopt Polly, and have no other animals in the home, please consider adopting another kitten (perhaps her brother and playmate, Ollie?) since she will be lonely without a companion during the day.
