Foster WANTED!
Dougal was spotting by one of ARWOb's volunteers running in traffic on a rainy cold day in South East San Diego. A passer by was kicking at him as he ran into a gas station forecourt. Our volunteer couldn't leave him out in the cold and was able to get him into her car after offering him some food. He was shaking, matted and covered in fleas but lay down quietly in the back seat of her car and quickly went to sleep.
He was seen by a vet that night but no micro-chip was found. He had a bath and haircut the next day and what a handsome young boy he is and he looks much happier now. The vet thinks he is about a year old and is part terrier part poodle.
He has been sleeping in a crate and appears to be crate trained. He walks on a lead but is a bit timid with loud traffic noise. He is very friendly and likes to be around people and his tail never stops wagging. He does not appear to be a barker and is friendly towards other dogs.
We are still learning about him but so far he has shown to be a grateful and oh so very happy little guy who loves his doggy and people friends. Has not been tested with cats and we haven' thad him around children but we suspect he will be great with such a sweet personality.
